Isabela Moner At just 15 years old, Isabela is one of Cleveland’s rising stars, highly regarded for her talents both as a singer and an actress. As recently as December 2010, Isabela performed in the Great Lakes Theater Festival's production of A Christmas Carol at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Here she enjoyed working under Broadway director Vicky Bussert. This past summer, Isabela was selected to work with Emmy Award winning director, Michael Rafter, and to be a member of "Destination Broadway” where she spent time on Broadway in NYC under his direction. Since then, Isabela has been invited to audition for several Broadway shows: Les Miserables, Peter Pan, and Billy Elliot.
Isabela has performed in prominent roles with professional theatre companies. Her credits include Annie in which she held the title role,The Chronicles of Narnia where she played Lucy, and Fiddler on the Roof. In Seussical she performed as Jojo, in The Sound of Music she held the role of Gretl, and in Into the Woods she starred as Little Red. In addition, Isabela recently appeared in the Opera Cleveland production of I Pagliacci. She is an active member of the Beck Center for the Performing Arts, the Olmsted Performing Arts, Mighty Goliath Productions and Voice Variations. Isabela was a winner of the 2009 Playhouse Square Rising Star Competition and the 2008 Youngstown Superstar Competition. She has also recently recorded her first CD. In addition, she earned the honor of performing as a soloist under the direction of Carl Topilow with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra at Severance Hall. Her most recent appearance at Severance Hall was a performance with “Yes” lead singer, Jon Anderson and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra in 2010.
